• On Monday 3/14/16, the House considered HB 1585, a bill which authorizes the City of Grenada to contract with the federal government to house federal inmates in their jail. This is a cost-saving measure for the facility. I voted Yes, the bill passed 114-0.

 

• On Monday 3/14/16, the House considered HB 1599, a bill which authorizes a county government to transfer taxpayer money directly to a private entity for “development” purposes. I voted No, the measure passed 108-1.
