How to buy Bitcoin with your bank account right now. All right, the first thing you need to do to buy Bitcoin with your bank account right now is to link your bank account to a cryptocurrency exchange. The reason you need to do that is banks do not yet allow you to directly buy Bitcoin within your bank account itself. Now, in the future they will and banks keep edging uh closer and closer to allowing you to do that. Uh Fidelity already allows you to do that with investment accounts and Charles Schwab is rolling that out like right now uh in waves over weeks uh over a series of weeks to their customers. So, the major brokerages and investment accounts are already allowing you to do it, but banks themselves are a little bit behind the curve. They tend to move slowly. They tend to be risk-averse, overregulated, and all of that. So, banks are not there yet. So, in order to buy Bitcoin with your bank account, you need to link your bank account to a Bitcoin exchange or a cryptocurrency exchange. My favorite cryptocurrency exchange to link your bank account to is River, r i v e r. River, one word, five letters, river.com. That is the best uh cryptocurrency exchange and it’s Bitcoin only, so technically it’s just a Bitcoin exchange uh to buy Bitcoin and I’ll walk you through how to do that. Uh now, if you uh are a relatively small user of Bitcoin, for example, if your entire net worth is below $10,000 or if you are a minor under the age of 18, you could probably just use Cash App. Cash App is really good as well, but you start to run into limits on Cash App above $10,000. So, if you have a net worth above $10,000 or can ever imagine that you would ever want to own more than $10,000 of Bitcoin, then I would not recommend Cash App. Uh again, unless you’re a minor. If you’re a minor, that’s really your only good option. But, if you’re an adult, uh River is much better. Um and for all the reasons I’ll explain in a minute. But, the other good cryptocurrency exchanges are Strike, s t r i k e. In fact, if River was not available or if I could not use River for some reason, uh Strike is the uh service I would recommend. Their website is strike.me s t r i k e.m.e. Uh the website has like three fingers on a hand pointing at an angle. Uh you can get it on the App Store. But Strike is fantastic led by Jack Mallers. Uh it’s just uh and internationally Strike is much better. But in the United States, I like River better because River has proof of reserves. So they publish uh reserve reports every month showing that they actually have the Bitcoin they say they have. And because River is exclusively focused on the United States, they just have a more built-out platform for US users. Strike is available globally, but that means they’re you know more of a you know an inch wide and a mile deep as opposed to River which is more of a mile you know an inch or whatever it is. Uh the reverse of that. Basically, uh Strike is you know wide but not deep and River is narrow but very deep because they uh serve only US customers. So River’s platform tends to be more built-out, more robust, easier to use, and I just really like River. Again, it’s very US-centric, but if you’re a US citizen in the United States, River works fantastically well, and that is the primary platform I use. But again, if I couldn’t use that, I would use Strike s t r i k e. If I couldn’t use Strike, I would probably use Robinhood or I would check the fees. I still use Coinbase Advanced sometimes uh for large transactions, I use Coinbase all the time for spending Bitcoin. But most of the people watching this are not worried about spending Bitcoin right now. They’re worried about acquiring Bitcoin in the first place right now. So, uh but again, the the the the food chain of services that I would use starts with River number one, Strike number two, and then number three would maybe be Robinhood or Coinbase or maybe Kraken, but I haven’t used Kraken recently, so I don’t know. The problem with Coinbase and Kraken is they also have sports betting, prediction markets, meme coins, and basically they’re constantly marketing stupid stuff to you that guarantees you’re going to lose money. And you just don’t have to worry about that with River and Strike. River and Strike are Bitcoin only and Robinhood is sort of somewhere in between. They’re at least a a little bit cleaner. They don’t quite bombard you as bad as some of the other platforms with meme coins and stupid stuff. Uh okay. So, let’s assume you want to buy some Bitcoin with your bank account. How do you do that? Well, first of all, you have to link it. Virtually all of the mobile platforms for any banking application use something called Plaid, p l a i d, which means that the process of using the mobile application for River or Strike or SoFi or pretty much any platform, you’re going to link that account uh using Plaid to your bank account, which will involve you logging into your bank account. Although, you can also link it with your bank accounts’ um routing number and account number if you do not want to log in with your credentials. Although, I consider it secure uh and that is how I log into all my bank accounts is using Plaid uh with those mobile apps. So, once you do that uh and you have it linked, then you can buy Bitcoin within the user interface. And it’s super simple. You just decide how much Bitcoin you want to buy. Uh you select the bank account that you have linked to that cryptocurrency platform and you buy Bitcoin. It’s literally that simple. Now, if you have a very legit-looking Facebook page, I will send you $100 of free Bitcoin if you don’t already have any Bitcoin. Now, you have to be a US citizen and you have to have a very legit Facebook page, which means we probably need to have some mutual, you know, friends and you can’t have pictures of, you know, motorcycles and sports cars and scantily clad women and you can’t like or subscribe to sports betting or casino websites or stuff like that. So, if you have like a legit family-friendly you know, nice person Facebook page where nobody’s like flipping off the camera or anything like that. If you just have like a legit normal person Facebook page that doesn’t look like you’re about to go gamble any Bitcoin I send you. And if you don’t own any Bitcoin, so there’s two requirements. One, a very legit Facebook page. And second, you actually don’t already own any Bitcoin, then I will send you $100 of Bitcoin for free on River. Uh you get it in the form of a River link. And in that River link um you basically just click on it. It’ll guide you through the process of creating an account. And when you’re done creating an account, you will have $100 of Bitcoin from me uh for you. So, happy to do that for anybody who does not own any Bitcoin and wants to and then obviously it’s easy to buy more Bitcoin cuz you already have an account on River. Uh so, sometimes people like to do it that way cuz it’s just easier and because you get $100 of free Bitcoin on me. Now again, most of the people who message me, they have like Facebook pages, somebody’s flipping off the camera, you know, they’re subscribed to all sorts of casino websites and games and it basically looks very much like they’re going to gamble away any Bitcoin I send them. And if that’s you, I’m sorry, I’m not sending Bitcoin. So, but if you want free Bitcoin, just message me and say, “Hey, I heard you talking about the offer of free Bitcoin, you know.” And message me from your Facebook page that is very legit. Um and usually uh the uh one of the sort of taglines I give people is is uh family first equals $100. So, if you message me that, then I will go see if your Facebook page actually looks family-friendly. Like, does it have a bunch of pictures of you and your kids on there and your spouse? And does it look like you are a gainfully employed normal person? Or does it look like you are going to gamble away any Bitcoin I send you? And again, as long as your Facebook page looks legit and everything looks fine on there, then uh you’re good and I’ll send you $100 of free Bitcoin. Again, you have to include in your message that you don’t currently own any Bitcoin. If you already own Bitcoin, I’m not going to just send you more Bitcoin for no reason. But if you don’t own any, happy to, you know, spot you your first $100 of Bitcoin. Uh so anyway, but I recommend River. Process is simple. river.com or the River mobile app, which is on the App Store for Apple or the Google Play Store. Uh you download it, you authenticate your credentials, you have to upload a a driver’s license or something to prove you’re legit, which is required for all financial applications. And then as soon as you do that, you can link it to a bank account using the Plaid integration, and then you can buy Bitcoin. And if you’re buying Bitcoin with US dollar cash that is not in any type of retirement account or something like that, that is the best place to do it. And if you can’t get River working, use Strike, s t r i k e. Again, website strike.me, m e, strike.me. Or the Strike mobile app. It’s always better to use mobile apps for any stuff related cryptocurrency cuz that way you don’t have to worry about malicious software on websites and stuff like that. So, it’s always better to use a mobile app as opposed to a website anytime you’re dealing with any type of cryptocurrency because mobile apps are much more secure than websites. It’s much harder for hackers and scammers to get access to mobile apps than it is for them to get access to websites. So anyway, it’s really that simple. Link a bank account, buy Bitcoin, and buy as much as you can and sit on to sit on it for as long as conceivably possible. That is the formula. Buy as much Bitcoin as you can, sit on it as long as conceivably possible, and that has never been bad advice in the 18-year history of Bitcoin. Eventually, everyone ends up substantially up on their investment with the ability to spend that Bitcoin to live their life when it is worth substantially more than the price they paid for it, including substantially more than uh degree the degree to which inflation has uh taken away the value of the US dollar. So, in the future, if inflation is up, you know, 25% but your Bitcoin is up 200%, well, you’re way ahead of inflation and you’re a happy camper and you go to Costco or Kroger or wherever you shop and, you know, instead of having ridiculous sticker shock every time you see a receipt, you think, well, I’m glad for that $123. For example, I I just did a tiny tiny grocery store run. It was $123. I’m like, whatever. I paid like 30 or 40 bucks for the Bitcoin that ultimately just got spent for 123. So, I’ll be fine. Uh and you will be too. Bitcoin is the best way to outrun inflation in the long term. So, let me know if you have any questions. Again, if you have a very legit-looking Facebook page that’s well built out and very family-friendly, um I will send you $100 free Bitcoin if you do not already have $100 free Bitcoin. Just reference this video. And uh again, I’m going to go check out your Facebook page before I send anybody any free Bitcoin. And if it looks like it’s going to get gambled away, I will not send free Bitcoin and you just will not hear from me. So, sorry in advance if your Facebook page looks scammy or fake and you think it’s super legit. If I do not respond, there is a 100% chance that I determined that your Facebook page does not look like that Bitcoin is going to be stewarded well. So, but if it does, happy to send free Bitcoin to help anyone get started if they don’t already own any Bitcoin.
