Freshman legislator Rep. Joel Bomgar (R-Madison) is four weeks in to the new legislative session and is calling 2016 “The Year of No Excuses.”
The Republicans have a super-majority in both the House of Representatives and Senate and Bomgar said that poises the party to “deliver absolutely anything in the party platform.”
“What gets done is purely a function of political will,” he said. “It’s 100 percent a matter of what we want to get done. There are no constraints.”
Bomgar and other representatives were still awaiting committee assignments Wednesday and so he said it’s hard to dive into anything without yet knowing what those will be.
